I feel rather left out without a touch :P. Some intersting apps there, I may have to look into getting a touch some time.

Nice list. I love Lemonade Tycoon - it is surprising how long you can spend in what is essentially quite a simple game.

My top ipod apps

Well I've meant to do something like this for a long time but never got round to it due to my extreme laziness, but as it is summer now and I'm already bored I give you my list of top ipod touch apps!

(all screenshots have been taken by me.)

1.Peggle - Has to be my favourite app and the one I play the most. The aim of the game is to hit all of the orange pegs by firing a ball out of a cannon. The green pegs will give you a special ability depending on the character you have chosen, my favourite character would probably be renfeild the pumpkin with his spooky ball. If you haven't tried peggle I seriously recommend you do. It is also available on the computer.

2.Papi Jump + - Love this game, it's fun, addictive and very satisfying. The idea of the game is to jump onto the higher bricks by tilting your ipod in the direction you want to go if you allow your character to fall bellow the screen it's game over. There are many different game modes, such as fall where the bricks fall once you  bounce on them, Left mode where you must move to the left instead of upwards, Down mode where you must move down avoiding the top of the screen and a few more.

3.Flight Control - In this game you must guide the planes to a runway without letting them crash into eachother, sounds easy but once you have a few more planes on the screen at once things start to get very tricky. This is a great game, you can just play and go and it's unforgivingly addictive.

4.FML Pro - From the creators of the hit website www.fmylife.com comes this new app. It's pretty much the same as the website only portable and on your ipod, I personally prefare using this app to the actual website on my computer probably because the app is layed out in a nice simple way. I really like this app and its many features and hilarious updates.

5.iCopter - There are a few versions of this app, I like the free version with the blue icon, it works better than the other paid ones I find. The idea of this app is to tap the screen to make your helicopter fly up to avoid the various obstacles in your way, if you crash into the roof, floor or an obstacle you are sent back to the start.

6.Wifi Touchpad - This is a very cool app, a bit of a novelty but still cool to play with and I can see it having many professional uses. This app allows you to use a touchpad on your pc via wifi I tested this out and it can get signal from the other side of my house. It is very easy to set up unlike most of these things are, you simply need to download the reciever for your computer, select your ip adress and you are good to go. There is also a full keyboard which you can use. This app is very handy if you just wanna laze back in your chair, or just want to impress your friends.

7.Catchamouse 2 - A great addictive app in which you have to lay down mouse traps one go at a time to trap a mouse before it goes down a hole and escapes.

8.Skyburger - You have to collect falling items to make a burger which agrees with the customers order, once you make enough of these you get the chance to make a sky burger which can be as big as you want it to be.

9.Need For Speed Undercover - Just another need for speed game, you tilt your ipod to turn corners and touch the screen to brake, it's very fun but I'm not a great fan of games with a story on the ipod. Takes up too much time.

10.Lemonade Tycoon - Great game in which you sell lemonade to make money and upgrade your stand, you can alter your recipie and prices, amount of advertising, everything. Making this a very fun game.

11.Orbius - A fun and addictive game in which you fly your ship around different levels trying to turn different orbs blue, sounds simple at first but once you get into the game it becomes very tricky and addictive.

Well thats my list of top apps, there a probably alot more I could've done but I would have been here all day.

Thanks for reading.

Plants vs Zombies

Hey all! Jordan here. It has been a while since my last update, has it not? Well I am here to talk to you about...

Plants vs Zombies!

Plants vs Zombies is an incredibly awesome tower defence styled game. It never really gets old either. I've had it for quite a few weeks now and am still playing it hours a day.

Anway, the basic gameplay is that you must plant plants (and mushrooms and general things like that) to protect yourself from... the undead!

The above screenshot was not taken by me and only shows several different types of plants. In the game there are a total of 49 plant types, ranging from peashooters, to sunflowers and even to wall-nuts (they act as a shield to hold zombies off for a limited time.) In the game there are also 26 diffent types of zombies, that includes snorkling zombies, pole vaulting zombies and even dolphin riding zombies. (The dolphin is also a zombie.)

The main gameplay isn't overly complex. So anyone can enjoy it really. There are 6 lanes for the zombies to move across. The zombies come from the right and head to the left to get to your house to eat your brains. You must stop them with your arsenal of plants!

There are several different environments such as day, night, out the backgarden with the pool, through fog and even on your roof.

The different times of day both have their advantages and disadvantages, for example, during the day you will gain sun from the sky as well as your sunflowers but you cannot use mushroom based plants. At night, you can use mushroom plants but cannot gain additional sun from the sky. (You can only get it from sunflowers or sun-shrooms.)

Throughout the game's adventure mode you are mainly aided and taught by a madman, Crazy Dave, your friendly, helpful and crazed neighbour. During the game he opens up a shop, in which you can buy a pile of interesting things, including upgrades to plants and more slots for seeds.

Another part of the game is the Zen Garden. The Zen Garden is a peaceful, tranquil place where you can grow plants to later sell on to Crazy Dave for profit or continue to look after for as long as you please.

The game also includes a load of mini-games including one where you play as the zombies.

I cannot reccomend this game enough. It is definitly worth a try and definitly worth every penny. It is made by Pop Cap, the famous casual game makers that made Peggle, Bejeweled, Bookworm and other great titles.

On their site there is a free trial that I would urge you all to try. Click here.

Thank you for reading.

Later!

What happened here!

Screw it I don't have a clue what to update about but I owe you all an update after so long.

Well ever since everyone, ever, everywhere got an ipod touch (which is great) I've began to use mine and appreciate it a lot more. But I regret getting Peggle (I don't really) it's a great game but I can't stop playing it. I didn't even play it this much when I played it on the computer.

I recently bought Killing Floor I was skeptical at first as I'm trying to keep my money and not throw it all away on games but damn am I glad I bought this.

It is a six player co-op (we currently play with five) and the basic idea is survive a giant group of zombies until they are all wiped out and you squad wins the round. We found this pretty easy, until we moved up a mode to normal but the game quality really improves. It's an extremely fast paced, adreniline pumping and tense game and it is just fantastic fun.

The graphics in the game are very well done and I can't see a single problem with them, they are not extremely spectacular like a game such as crysis but do you really expect them to be? The game is also very well optimised I have never experienced a single bit of game or server lag.

Sound quality is amazing in many a situation I've saved my self by hearing a zombie behind me and quickly turning around to shoot it.

The gameplay is great and very, very tense as I mentioned before the game even makes loosing fun especially when you are cornered by a chainsaw wielding maniac with 20 zombies following him

There are a few annoying bugs in the game, not sure if anyone else has experienced them but some times when I enter the trader my weapons will dissapear and I will be forced to quit and rejoin the game, I wouldn't let this put you off the game though as it may just be me.

I'd give this game a 9/10 It is fantastic fun with great graphics, sound and gameplay but that annoying bug just lost it a mark.

Recently just read a news story about a surgeon in Melbourne who saved a boys life using a household drill, the boy fell off his bike and had a bump on his head, the hospital had no special tools so the doctor had to use a houshold drill to drain the blood from the bump otherwise the boy would have died. I won't go into much detail about it but you can read up yourself, the news story is here. Really good job on the doctors part though he deserves an award for that.

That all for now, good to update again and thanks for reading.

Exams over!

Hello!

Our transfer exams are over now! Hooray!

Now just to get our results back and hopefully find we have got in. Heh. Shame we will be back to school work now and most likely be getting homeworks again. Sigh... Can't be assed anymore. Mrs Maginnis no doubt will be back to full work and homeworks every blimmin' day.

Ergh, our exams are just over. Ah well, the lower years still got to do their Summer exams. Hehehe...

Exams, revision, blah blah

Hey, Jordan here.

Transfer exams next week... damn.

It doesn't feel like they should be this close, but they are. Ergh, revision. The most boring thing imaginable. Sitting for an hour or so, looking at school books and trying to get it to stick in your mind, blagh!

I can't wait till these next few weeks are over and we've got our results and what not back.

Sometime after the exams, Fish Supper should be holding a competition, so thats something to look forward to.

The blog will probably end up being inactive till after the exams but we will try our best to get round to updating.

Bye for now.

Back to school tomorrow, I really can't be bothered and the inspectors are in which just makes the entire thing worse. I really hope they don't follow us around, it will be so awkward and silent.

It snowed like last Saturday but I forgot to update, as I am a lazy git. There wasn't really enough snow to make anything huge.

So I made this!

He/she is adorable but unfortunatley I shot he/she with a bb gun and hit it with a big stick , this was at night time so the pictures turned out awful but I might get them up sometime.

We went to the pool and the cinema on Friday, we left for the cinema at 11am (god almighty) in the hope the pool wouldn't be as busy...we were wrong, the que was out the door and it was packed. We only got on 2 slides the penny drop and white rapids and spent most of the time in the lazy river.

We went to pizza hut and it was obviously packed again, we had to wait about 15 minutes before getting in, even though there were plenty of tables free.

We got nachos and chicken strips with barbeque sauce for starters and 2 medium pizzas, one pepperoni and the other chicken and ham.

There was nothing good to our eye on in the cinema so we went to the shops for a while, once we came back there was still nothing but we had to see something, so we chose "Bolt"

I really enjoyed it. It looked great, had some surprisingly funny bits, was great to watch and had a pretty solid story.

I wont spoil it for you, but trust me. Go watch it, don't be fooled by it being animated, it is perfectly suited for anyone of any age.

I've got about 35 quid now after selling my old monitor and don't know wether to buy the logitech g5 (mouse) or the Saitek Cyborg Keyboard or just save for something else.

What do you guys think?

Snow...

We haven't had much snow over here but I'm sure as most of you will know. It has been snowing in England alot.

They always make such a big deal about it. OH DEAR IT'S SNOWING. LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS, BARRICADE YOUR WINDOWS AND HAVE A GUN READY AT ALL TIMES. A 20 minute news story was dedicated to some bloody snow this morning.

The thing is, we know it is going to happen but we all just sit around and wait, then when it does happen AAAAAAH!Why don't the airports and railways get more prepared, they act as if it came out of the blue but people were talking about it for days.

Thats all for now, sorry for the short update I just revised history and can't be assed doing anything anymore.

Tank change

Jordan here.

The other fish tank got a bit smelly so we have changed it for the time being for another one that he was lying around. It is a bit bigger and is rectangular.

The red stones can make the water look redish at an angle. Jack is a bit hard to see in the picture but you can see Victor well enough.

My dog Harry has picked up an interest in the fish. This morning he repeatedly tried to get up onto the table and into the tank. He has realised this isn't working, so he is now trying to sneak in and act innocent.

Later for now.
